The Death Of A Dream

Remember when you were 6 years old? Maybe 10 years old? Do you remember yourself dreaming to be a pilot, a business tycoon, an astronaut, an actor, a dancer? And what are you struggling to be right now? A corporate slave? A regular person?

You know who shares blame on this one? Majority of our society. A bunch of idiots who never aimed high and wouldn’t let you aim high. They act like blinders around the horse’s eyes. Get a degree, a 9-5 dead end job. And that’s it. Work your ass off for another person’s dream, pay your damn bills and taxes. Now what? Alright, you can die.

Tell me, what happened to the 6-year old you who wanted to be an astronaut? What happened to the 8-year old you who wanted to buy a mansion? What happened to the 10-year old you who wanted to be a business tycoon? You were battered by practicality. Thinking your dreams are too big, you adapted to the conventional thinking.

Don’t let that happen. I repeat, don’t. Don’t kill the little kid in you. You can be anything you want to be. I’ll put my faith in you. All you need to do is trust yourself. Remember, all those supercars, mansions, brands out there were once a dream in someone’s head. Now they’re in yours. If someone made it come true, so can you. There’s no reason you can’t do it. The world is yours, your glory fills the sky. Work towards your dreams. Also remember, don’t give a damn to the people around you. Let them laugh at your dreams. Let them laugh when you fall. One day, you’ll fly. I put my trust in you. Now, trust yourself.
