Oh dear, if something was meant to last forever,
We’d still be swirling in the malignant tornado,
Drowning in the flood and smothering on the smoke.
Wincing upon the same contusions, sobbing endlessly at a memory.
Still stuttering upon the fight we put up, regretting some eschewed felony.
But oh, nothing lasts forever.
Look at you standing here, strong.
You’ve won the fight, mitigated, your hassles gone.
Haven’t you come a long way?
Doesn’t it tell you that you’ll always wake up to the bright day?
No matter how dark the night is,
Or how arduous the fight is.
Because, nothing lasts forever.
