fly, fool

Why would you succumb, fool,
To something less than your dream?
When you were meant to rule.
And like a north star, proudly gleam.

In the absence of a guiding light,
Why would you give in?
When you were meant to fight.
And like a champion, win.
The dawn might be out of sight,
But a ray of hope fosters within
To suffice wars against the night.
No, why would you give in?

Why would you succumb, fool,
To something less than the sky?
When you were meant to rule.
And in your blissful freedom, fly.
